#338. October 26th, 2013: Nate Mook

This guy is truly an inspiring human being. Nate is about going further, doing it better, and making the world a better place. He’s compassionate, encouraging, and innovative. I first met Nate at TEDGlobal in 2012 and I remember walking along this pathway with him at this castle in the middle of these hills of Scotland as we walked back to our bikes. A world away, I met this amazing man who is unbelievably genuine and down to earth, and his passion and attitude of never giving up is incredibly contagious. His creativity is only matched by his energy in all that he does. His enthusiasm for bringing together some of the world’s most brilliant people is fascinating and he honestly does such an amazing job at putting together great productions, but also at making the people in his life feel valued and appreciated. Nate, thank you so much for these past two days at TEDxMidAtlantic. They were nothing short of astounding and mind-blowing and if there’s anyone who represents the idea and theme of “Start Now,” it’s you. Thank you for your initiative with all that you do – it’s such an inspiration and I’m honored to watch your journey continue to grow. Thank you so much for always being so responsive and helpful with anything I’ve asked! Thank you for your constant support and for not seeing age as a factor to treat me differently. Seriously, I really really appreciate that. Thank you so much for being a mentor to me, someone I always learn from, and for living a life of such excellence, travel, and excitement that is completely laced with modesty and a strong head on your shoulders. Thank you for all of your crucial and world changing work within the TED community. Thank you for taking on adventures in life and for being the epitome of someone who is fearless and ambitious. Thank you so much for everything you do in this world and for allowing me to be a part of it! Thank you so much for being you!!!
