#255. August 4th, 2013: Justin Ramacciotti

Sitting here and thinking how to start this post already has a huge smile on my face πŸ™‚ Justin is just one of those guys who can make you laugh without even saying anything. He has such a phenomenal sense of humor and has perfected the art of making light of every situation. As he and I talked about last night, I don’t really even remember my first impression of when we met, but I can easily say now that having in my life is something I will always cherish. I am so freakin’ happy that I got to know him so well over these past months and I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate him as a friend and confidant in my life. You see Justin is weird. He ROCKS the weird. He has this spectacular ability to make everyone in the room feel welcome and comfortable, even if he’s playing the snorting game (which he’s great at by the way). Whether he’s teaching a group of freshmen on the dance floor his quirky pinky-moving dance moves or whether he’s telling the entire theatre that they smell of school spirit, Justin truly knows how to be inclusive. He doesn’t care about what he looks like in those moments – what he cares about is changing someone’s life around him. He’s absolutely hilarious, fantastic at improv, and has me laughing almost all the time, and yet I’ve had some of my best and most serious talks with Justin as well. He knows how to listen and give you his effort and attention, and his perspective on life and all its opportunities is so beautiful and well-rounded. I admire his ability to maintain such healthy friendships with those in his life, even when they come from all sorts of different friend groups. Justin is also one of the most encouraging and supportive people that I’ve met in my life. He’s always so eager to help me or to offer some advice and it has absolutely been successful and helpful πŸ™‚ He’s so much fun to chat with about the most ridiculous moments of life, the wonders of the game of golf, or about anything really. He’s one of those people who when you enter a room and see him there, you know you’re going to have a fun time that you’ll always remember. Justin has been the foundation of some of my favorite memories and he has helped me grow in ways I never would have imagined. Justin, thank you so much for being the friend, mentor, listener, and rockstar that you are. Thank you for that moment at the retreat with the tapping, and thank you for just always being there say “keep being you” when I’ve needed it. Thank you for bringing so much energy and enthusiasm to CI and for giving the freshmen such a great experience. Seriously though, you were magnificent and everyone knows it. Thank you for opening up to all of us and thank you for all of our late night chats πŸ™‚ Thank you for snapping with me on everything California related, and thank you for all of your hilarious comments about pretty much everything. Thank you for being my Breaking Bad partner in crime – I promise I’ll be caught up in a week! Thank you for being such an amazing young man and human being. Thank you for being so caring and compassionate and for being such a genuine gentleman. Thank you for being you πŸ™‚ You’re an incredible person and anyone who knows you is lucky to have you in their lives πŸ™‚
