#248. July 28th, 2013: Adam Roth

Right before high school I went to a summer camp in the middle of Minnesota for a month. I went with one friend but I was still super nervous about being away from home and making new friends. Well, the night that I arrived, tired and sleepless, I met Adam. He was on the bottom bunk and I was on the top. From right then, Adam became one of my best friends in life. Coming from the suburbs of Chicago, Adam is one of the most genuinely nice people you will ever meet. He always has this wonderful smile on his face and quite possibly one of the best laughs as well. I can remember countless times when we’d all get him laughing and he wouldn’t stop for so long and his face would turn red like mine does ๐Ÿ™‚ Adam is just such a friendly person in general. He ALWAYS has something nice to say and literally has kindness and compassion running through his veins. Mean just simply isn’t in his vocabulary. Adam is also incredibly smart and now is kicking ass over at Northwestern University. At camp Adam would just always listen and be there for me. He was always by my side and we just had so much fun together. Some of my favorite times and memories from camp were with Adam and I’ll cherish them forever. One that is forever imprinted on my brain was when he had to leave early from camp. We all were leaving a few days later, but Adam left early. On top of that, he left super early in the morning. I remember getting up super quietly with him and I remember being the only people awake as I said goodbye to him. It was such a bittersweet moment; so sad to see him leave and yet so happy to have met such a phenomenal human being. When he left I remember starting to tear up as I went back to sleep. Anyway, Adam, you truly are such a special individual. Thank you so much for being so awesome and for staying in my life! Thank you so much for all the fun times we had and for just being a friend I could and can still count on. Thank you for always making me laugh and for always making me happy. Thank you for just being the rockstar that you are ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for our inside jokes and for crazy stories. Thank you for being you ๐Ÿ™‚
