#241. July 21st, 2013: Eric Stroiman

When I look back on the last 20 years of my life and decide who I want to thank, it’s everyone. But there are truly a handful of people that have changed my life entirely. Eric is one of those people. I first met Eric in the summer before our junior year of high school and nothing has ever been the same since he walked out of that interview. Eric has helped me to develop into the man I am today in so many ways. He has listened to me and has been there for me through countless low points in my life, and many of the high points and successes. He has taught me new ways to look at life and has changed my perspective in ways that have helped me so much through college. Eric has challenged me in so many ways too, whether that be to go off campus for lunch once in my life, or to rummage around a food convention for hours with him πŸ™‚ He’s been there for me when I’ve needed him most and he’s been the source of so many of my happiest memories. He’s made me laugh to the point of tears and he’s made me smile from ear to ear. He’s truly helped me realized what I want in life and how the journey to getting there is the most important part. Eric, thank you so much for that wonderful day that I met you and all of the adventures in between. Thank you so much for helping me learn about who I truly am and for helping me to create the life that I want to live. Thank you for all of the ridiculous times that you’ve made me laugh at YOUR ridiculousness and thank you for all of the remarkable “only Eric Stroiman” stories you’ve told me. Thank you for the millions of memories and moments we’ve shared together and for listening to me whenever I have a crazy and cheesy or simply weird story to tell you. Thank you for making me happy, and thank you for making things clear to me in times of confusion. Thank you for finally getting me to watch Despicable Me that one time, and thank you for showing me the coolest cliff over the ocean in all of San Diego. Thank you for that time we hung that massive balloon over CCA, and thank you for the time we went to the Charger game together. Thank you for showing me the value of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and for showing me how scary it is to drive with you πŸ™‚ Thank you for getting me to do hot yoga, and thank you for all of the wonderful, serious, silly, and deep conversations we’ve had. Thank you for being such a huge part of my life, one that I will never, ever forget, and one that I will continue to learn from. Thank you so much for being the quality man and friend that you are and thank you so much for just being you and for being in my life. You’ve truly changed me for the better and that is something that will always make me smile πŸ™‚
