#239. July 19th, 2013: Eric Fischer

Where do I even begin with him? I first met Eric at a leadership camp in Santa Barbara around 4 years ago and my life has never been the same since that moment. Truthfully, Eric was the first person that I ever brought up my confusion about my sexuality with. I was able to talk with him about my feelings and what I was experiencing and he was so incredibly helpful. Eric is someone who knows how to listen. He will spend hours with you just listening and giving you his full attention, something we all rarely receive. He is also unbelievably kind and compassionate, always offering his helping hand, his care and comfort, and his perspective on things. Eric has such a humble and modest outlook on life and yet he is wonderfully ambitious and lives life to the fullest. He’s a fan of spontaneity and he just has such a spectacular lifestyle and I love it. Eric is honestly just such a beautiful human being in general. Complete with a charming smile and an even more gorgeous personality and contagious laugh, Eric can make anyone feel happy and he can laugh with you about anything. He can be goofy, he can dance, he can be weird, and he can be serious. Eric is someone who I will always cherish in my life. He’s been there for me through SO many of my hardest and most challenging moments, and he’s been there to cheer me on during some of my happiest days. Eric is someone who makes his friends feel special and loved. Eric, thank you so very much for everything you have ever done for me and thank you so much for putting up with my craziness πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for supporting me with everything I do and thank you so much for matching my weirdness and noises with your own hilarity and just absolutely splendid personality and goofiness. Thank you so much for giving me one of the best days of my life, and thank you so much for all of the memories that we’ve shared. Thank you so much for showing me such a different viewpoint on so many things in life. You’ve challenged me and you have taught me so much along the way. Thank you so much for POTC and thank you so much for that ridiculous sweatshirt. Thank you so much for always bringing a smile to my face and thank you so much for just being in my life. Thank you so much for all the kind words you say (SD), and for just always having something nice to say. Thank you so much for always being honest with me and those around you. You always will speak the truth and I admire that so much. Thank you for giving me hope when I’ve needed it and thank you for giving me encouragement with everything in life. Thank you for helping me come out and thank you for always listening to me when I needed to talk, even when it wasn’t the easiest for you. Thank you for absolutely everything and for giving me a lifetime of moments to look back and smile on πŸ™‚ (insert squeal here). Thank you for being the phenomenal man that you are and thank you for just being you πŸ™‚
