#222. July 2nd, 2013: Anne Moore

Back in the fall I met a remarkable woman named Anne Moore. She was sitting across the table from me as she and two students interviewed me for a position as a Colonial Cabinet member for the George Washington University. It was actually her first day as the new Director of Colonial Inauguration (this is just one of several hats that she wears). I can promise you though that I was much more nervous than she was πŸ™‚ Fast forward to today and CI 4 has just ended and Anne has referred to me as her Ke$ha twin. Time flies and things change, right? πŸ™‚ Anne is honestly one of the most incredible young adults I have ever met in my entire life. She is easily one of, if not the most, independent and fierce woman I have ever met too. She can captivate a room and take control in such a wonderful way that demonstrates her skill of staying calm while also letting others share their opinions and voices. She is our fearless leader, someone who will never back down and someone who will always fight for what’s right and morally sound. She has mastered the ability to be professional and command respect while also connecting on such a quality level with the cabinet that makes us all feel understood, respected, and cared for. Anne is truly a sensational human being. She’s someone who inspires me to be better and to strive for excellence with everything I do. I know I speak for the entire CI Staff when I say that Anne makes us all want to be stronger and more honest individuals. Anne is also extremely outgoing and so much fun to work with and to have as a boss! She has such spunk and style and she has a great sense of humor. She’s not afraid to laugh and she does an excellent hair flip πŸ™‚ Anne is basically just such a well-rounded woman and I feel privileged to know and work with her. Anne, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible and talented and devoted team. Thank you so much for always believing in me and for listening when I needed it. Thank you so much for leading by example and for truly showing what it means to be a respected boss who cares about everyone around her. Thank you so much for all of the fun memories from this year and thank you so much for making me smile and laugh all the time! Thank you for doing Capture the Spirit with us, and thank you for your ability to have such fun with your job! Thank you for inspiring those around you to take a leap in life and to try new and different things. Congratulations on your first CI, your first Cabinet, and your first year as the Director! Most importantly, thank you for just being the phenomenal human being that you are πŸ™‚ Thanking you on stage today was such an exhilarating experience and I know that you’ll be appreciated and thanked for the rest of your life by so many more people. Thank you for being you πŸ™‚
