#190. May 31st, 2013: Ashwin Narla

Some know him as Ashwin, and some know him as Mr. President. But no matter what you call him, you know that Ashwin is one of the most genuine, hardworking, and dedicated people that you’ve ever met. A role model on campus and off with every single one of his actions, Ashwin inspires us all to be better people and to strive to reach further. To say he is humble and down to earth would be an understatement, and to call him a quality man wouldn’t even begin to describe it. Ashwin is someone I have looked up to since the minute I met him. He represents integrity and loyalty and cares about those in his life. He is a great friend, leader, and mentor and I am so happy to know him. Ashwin is easily one of the biggest reasons and factors as to how the Before I Die Wall at GW came to be. As our Student Association President, he followed through on what he always said and reached out to help a random guy like me with a big idea. He listened and was patient and so helpful, and he took my thoughts and put them in front of people that I didn’t have access to. He had no requirement of doing this. No one told him to help, he just did so because of his compassion. He was so crucial in getting the ball rolling and I will forever thank him for giving his time and effort to give my project a foundation to build on. Ashwin, thank you so much for all that you have done for GW and for me as a friend. Thank you so much for all of your incredible help with the Wall and thank you so much for always being so kind and such a great listener to my crazy ideas. Thank you so much for being such a remarkable man and role model and thank you so much for being a inspiration and joy for all of us to have in our lives. Thank you for being the stellar guy that you are and thank you for being in my life 🙂
