#140. April 11th, 2013: Rachel Krausman

When I first saw Rachel, she was standing on a stage in the Grand Ballroom of our Marvin Center. She was teaching all of the Freshman Day of Service Leaders exactly what we’d be doing when the time came for the nation’s largest national collegiate day of service. Rachel was the student coordinator for this. She’s basically the world’s best event planner and most passionate soul you’ll ever meet, and she’s a senior in college. Actually though, Rachel is one of the most compassionate and giving people you’ll ever meet. So, after seeing her put forth an incredible event and after hearing fantastic things about her, I knew that one day we’d have to work together. Fast forward a few months and I am deep need of help with the Before I Die Wall. I approach Rachel for help and she without questioning it decided that she’d love to help. Well, help is an understatement. Rachel was crucial with putting the Wall up and honestly, it would not have happened on time and so perfectly were it not for her. Rachel is one of the most organized and comforting people I’ve ever met. She handles stressful situations with such ease and calmness and I had such a blast with her putting the Wall together. Rachel is a super-human individual who devotes so much of her time to others. She’s unbelievably involved with Active Minds and helping to alleviate the mental health issue of our country and the world. She’s an inspiration to me and to so many others, ahh! πŸ™‚ Rachel, thank you so much for being the beautiful and gorgeous superhero that you are πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for being so diligent and devoted to so many good things in our world and thank you so much for making me so happy when I’m around you πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for being such a positive person and for being someone who is always willing to help out. Thank you so much for being so trustworthy and for following through with everything you do. Thank you so much for making my life so much easier and thank you so much for being in my life! Thank you for being YOU Rachel. You’re one of the most incredible people at GW I have ever met and you deserve to be thanked so so so much πŸ™‚ You really are such a wonderful gem πŸ™‚ Thank you so much again for being a role model and trailblazer for me and for countless others πŸ˜€
