#112. March 14th, 2013: Robert Green

After another full day building our house here in NOLA with Habitat for Humanity, we had an awesome experience unlike anything I’ve ever had. Robert Green, a lower ninth ward resident, gave us a tour of his neighborhood where he suffered through the storm and lost several members of his family. He told us his incredibly traumatic story and his honest and beautiful thoughts about the work being done in New Orleans and how thankful he is for volunteers like us. He was such a humble and family oriented man and everything he said was so meaningful and really meant a lot to me. Mr. Green, thank you so much for telling us your story and for sharing your life with us. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration and for being such a humorous and generous man as well šŸ™‚ For all of that, Mr. Green, I thank you šŸ™‚
