#86. February 16th, 2013: Ellen Mitgang

She’s an absolute goofball. She’s a dedicated mother and an incredible mentor. She’s one of the funniest people I have ever met, and I am so unbelievably proud to call her my second mother 🙂 Ellen is seriously one of THE most fantastic women I have ever met. She volunteers her energy, good heart, and enthusiasm with just about everything and she cares so deeply about helping out. With the TEDxYouth event, she played such a crucial role and I am so happy that I was able to work with her! In my life, however, she has played a much deeper role. Ellen is without a doubt one of the most supportive figures in my life. I would trust her with anything and if anything were to happen to my parents I would go to her first. Ellen is the epitome of a safe-haven. She’s the perfect mother in all aspects. She is loving, ridiculously devoted to caring for her children, humble, full of stories, hilarious, compassionate, and one of the best hug-givers around 🙂 She may be little, but she is one of the strongest women in the world and has proven to be one of the happiest as well. Seriously though, Ellen radiates warmth and happiness and when you walk in those doors, whether that be in San Diego or Victor, you feel at home. SHE is home. Ellen gives off such a kind vibe and it’s all so incredible genuine and truthful. She is one of the best advice-givers around and she will always be honest with you 🙂 She can always find something positive and funny in a situation, and she’s not afraid to use profanity to make something awesome 🙂 Ellen is honestly just a beautiful human being; someone who is looked up to and someone who inspires others every day. As I told her tonight, her marriage is something that inspire me all the time. The way she and meester shmitgang can poke fun at each other, laugh and cry with each other, and yet love each other so passionately is just the best thing in the world. In a world seemingly filled with divorce and pain, she and him shine through and make life so happy and bright. Ellen, thank you so much for being who you are and for being in my life 🙂 Thank you so much for caring and loving me since literally the day I was born and thank you so much for giving me Poopsie, one of my best friends and sister 🙂 Thank you so much for always being so close and kind with my family and for always being there at any moment. Thank you so much for being the incredible woman that you are and I love you so so so much 🙂 For all of that, Ellen, I thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙂
