#26. December 18th, 2012: Kiana Duncan

Kiana has a final tomorrow and she was so kind to carve out some time to talk tonight so I first have to thank her for that 🙂 I also want to say that just hearing her voice tonight basically made my week. She always has a positive tone in her voice, one that makes you smile even when in the worst of moods. Kiana, you are such a treasure. For one, you’re absolutely stunning and incredibly beautiful. Your smile is just the best AH! 🙂 You’re incredibly intelligent (and I envy your work ethic) and you are so involved outside of academics as well. You’re currently playing on your Varsity Field Hockey team at Johns Hopkins University and yet you manage to maintain such a happy personality and attitude 🙂 I love it! You, my dear, are one of the most caring and loving people that I know. You are like me in that you’re usually busy with so much going on in your life, however, you are NOT like me in that you are SOOO good at finding the time for your friends and family to show them that you care 🙂 You make the world a better place just by existing 🙂 Also, as I mentioned to you tonight, I want to thank you again for that special time we shared during Challenge Day. You were remarkable in that you opened up to our group and in turn it allowed us all to be vulnerable and let our barriers down so that we all could get closer. In my opinion, we have developed into a lovely little family and Kiana, you will always be so dear to me because of that. 🙂 You are such an example for so many people in that you lead a spectacular life filled with joy, ambition, and fun, and when life throws you a curveball, you manage to spin it in a positive direction and keep going. I admire you for that 🙂 Anyway, I just want to thank you overall for being you. You’re an amazing young woman and I am honored to know you and call you my friend. I cannot wait to see what these years bring you in college and as we discussed tonight, we’ll be seeing each other soon not only in San Diego, but also here in DC since we’re so close! 🙂 You’re a rockstar and I love ya! For all of that, Kiana, I thank you 🙂
