#17. December 9th, 2012: Heather Schlesier

My oh my, Heather Schlesier. πŸ™‚ I’ve know this crazy lady since 7th grade! We were in the same ASB class and have been friends ever since. Heather is someone who can always make you laugh and just enjoy the day. She’s got an absolutely fantastic smile and is just a beautiful person all around. Throughout middle school, she was the friend that I could go to for anything. She made middle school fun and bearable and when we realized we would be going to different high schools, it was an odd turning point for us. Even though we wouldn’t see each other that often, we would make sure to stay in contact and update each other on our lives. πŸ™‚ Heather would always be willing to go to Starbucks and talk about life (especially boys) and she was never afraid to go on an adventure. She’s got a phenomenal personality and excellent sass which makes her sooooo much fun to be around πŸ™‚ Heather, you really are a magical person to have as a friend and I honestly can’t thank you enough for being in my life. You share such a deep enthusiasm for sports and you understand that amazing adrenaline rush of a big game. You are a no-bullshit type of girl and I love that about you πŸ™‚ You’re always so honest and sincere and you know exactly how to have fun. You aren’t afraid to be yourself and you have always been a role model to me with your ability to manage a million things going on in your life while also making time for your friends and family – something I need to work on. Your family is another story all together but I have to thank them to for always being so supportive and blunt when I need them to be. As we talked about this evening, when I told you about my sexuality your reaction was priceless πŸ™‚ Thank you for being so kind and compassionate about that and for accepting me for who I am. I was so excited to tell you to be honest, because I knew we could get right to talking about men. πŸ™‚ Just kidding… Well… Anyway! I really do appreciate the role you have in my life and I am so so so happy that we have stayed friends for all this time, regardless of the distance and difference in lives. I cannot wait to see your shining face in less than 2 WEEKS! πŸ™‚ For all of that, Heather, I thank you πŸ™‚
